NMBC President Welcome
Welcome to New Milton Outdoor Bowling Club. My name is Maureen Clark and I am pleased to have been re-elected as Club President for 2025.
We take pride in being a friendly and very active well run Club that warmly welcomes new Members, visitors and particularly touring teams.
I am proud of our success during the Centenary year.
The Club has a strong Management Committee striving to improve facilities, playing conditions and social programmes.
We have 12 rinks over two Greens, located by the central recreation grounds in New Milton. We are one of the largest clubs in Hampshire. We have over 150 members, both ladies and gents across a wide range and ability.
We are open to the general public with 2 rinks set aside every day for hire from April to September.
During the summer, April through to September, every day from 10am to 8pm, weather permitting, the clubhouse and greens are open for members on available rinks for roll ups, practice, coaching and matches.
Every Wednesday morning, we have coaching sessions open to all members, plus taster sessions for beginners.
I am proud to say that we now have 8 qualified coaches who will be able to train new and existing bowlers in all aspects of the game.
We have very competitive bowling in both ladies and gents sections participating in The New Forest & Bournemouth/District Association Leagues. Annually, we hold many internal competitions for both experienced and new bowlers: with a Finals weekend plus presentation of trophies and prize winners in September/October.
Over recent years we have ensured the Club provides a programme of Social events for the winter months - such as bingo, quizzes, coffee mornings, celebration meals etc.
For these events we have a dedicated Social & Catering committee, a single clubhouse sitting 80 people with a well stocked bar and kitchen. This means there is something for everyone throughout the year.
I look forward to meeting everyone in the new season of 2025.
